Connector @ The Entrepreneur Show
by Nicola OReilly on April 27th, 2010
Connector showcased its new training courses and connecting philosophy at this year’s Entrepreneur Event, Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th April.
Connector’s team helped man the stand for the weekend, making loads of new connections and spreading knowledge of the 10 C’s.
A huge part of the show this year were the bright and lively discussions that took place in the “Think Tank” and “Invest Test” auditoriums which Conor helped chair as well as take part in.
One of the highlights of the show was hearing some of the Irish and UK dragons take part in these discussions. The connector team also had the pleasure of meeting Sean Gallagher who had his photo taken with them at the Connector stand.
Connector’s bright and inviting stand design, along with its engaging video content was down to the planning and hard work of new recruit David Dungan who has taken to his role with enthusiasm and gusto, as well as Sarai Fernández hard work managing the connector team and Connector’s Entrepeneur Networking Event at Lillies on Friday night.
Overall it was a busy but rewarding weekend at the stand for the Connector team and it will be a busy week again following the amount of interest shown at the show.

Vodafone 360 connections
by Conor on March 21st, 2010

A few months ago I was at the launch of the Vodafone 360 with guest star Dita Von Teese and given a Vodafone 360 phone to test. I would like to express my thanks to Vodafone for the opportunity to test drive the phone which was supported by TV advertising in late 2009.
As I am lucky enough to have used all the top smart phones in recent months, I thought this phone was ‘ok’. This Samsung phone which has a completely different operating system which takes a while to get used to I could not give it the time it needed to be mastered. Furthermore the selection & presentation of Apps definitely will have to improve.
I think with Vodafone starting to sell the iPhone which has 140,000 Apps, I wonder will the Vodafone 360 will be relegated to a mid-range phone? What did you thinkofthe Vodafone 360?

Connecting with Des Bishop
by Sarai Fernandez on February 4th, 2010
Yesterday our 10 contest winners, Conor and I went to see Des Bishop at The Button Factory, sponsored by ESB Customer Supply. The gig was excellent, where Des Bishop talked about many things, among others his father’s illness, with his unique style making hilarious things that other people could find uncomfortable to talk about.
After the gig we have the opportunity to do a short interview to Des, who told us some tips for young comedians on why they should engage in social media. The video of the interview is coming soon, but for the moment here are the photographs we took with him.
This event was the final point in the campaign Des Bishop and Jim have run to encourage people to save energy during the last 6 months. We want to thank Des for his time which we enjoyed, to ESB Customer Supply and McConnells for the tickets and Eleanor for a wonderful warm-up at the event.

by Conor on December 14th, 2009
I heard this bunch of people having a great old time of it on friday evening as I was grabbing some free wifi in Le Circ on Dame Street, and looked up to investigate …turns out it to be the 2FM breakfast presenters Colm & Jim Jim and their team having a few pints.
I tell them I am on a mission to connect with everyone in Ireland and they are all very nice & evenagree to a picture as proof of connection haha !
I’m much too tired in the mornings to listen to breakfast radio but am sure they’re grrrrrreat ! ;-0 Now I wonder if my email to them will have them wanting to interview me as part of a story about the Facebook Addicts Anonymous group I am setting up …
