One of Dublin’s oldest landmarks is located right in the city center, and also very easy to locate. This establishment is called The Church Restaurant and Bar. Recently I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of my time here and really get to know the building and the staff that is associated with it. You will recognize this building at the end of Henry Street by the massive tower that stands next to the cathedral building. This makes The Church really unique in the sense that it still looks like it used to back in the early Dublin days.

I have noticed no matter what time of day, The Church always has a bustling feel to it. This starts during the lunch hour and goes right on through dinner, and than into the late hours of the night. People come here to enjoy the delicious meals that are available, or to sit around the gigantic bar that rests in the middle of the building. The bar is shaped like an oval and is the largest bar that I have seen so far in Dublin. If this type of setting does not fit your need, you can also check out the basement of the church for late night festivities. There are two other bars located in the cellar and are for the  night club crowd, or even can be used to book private events. Out of the three locations to sit and enjoy yourself, I would say there is certainly a spot at the church that you will be guaranteed to enjoy.

If you look at the outside of this large building you will notice that it is fenced in with seating arrangements surrounding the terrace. A lunch and dinner menu is offered for this area which is in the form of a barbeque. This is really nice because the food is cooked  in front of your eyes along with all the smells that come along with it.  Also outdoors live Irish entertainment is offered on a nightly basis while you enjoy your dinner and drinks. The music is really  relaxing to listen to with friends or family after a long days work. Here is a taste of what you might be surrounded by.

If you are ever in the city center area and are looking for a nice place to eat and have a few drinks, I strongly recommend The Church. Even if you are not going to eat here, stop by and see how beautiful the establishment is. The staff is very open for visitors, even allowing you to bring in a camera to capture the beauty of inside The Church.

The Church is very historical as well.  The main thing that it is known for is the church where Arthur Guinness was married years and years ago.  This is very significant to the city of Dublin because Arthur Guinness is one of the people who has helped create the atmosphere of Dublin.

Connector is proud to be working with The Church and holding monthly events here.  Last Friday we did our Canon Digital movies awards in The Church night club.  The event went really well with a great attendance also.  Some of our upcoming events at the church consist of a Connector Barbecue outside, and an internship event.  We hope to really connect with The Church, and help them connect with the virtual world as well.
